Build Your Cycling Skills

Smart Streets

The Smart Streets Guide to Safety is an interactive website where you will learn how to be a citizen of the street, whether you are a pedestrian, cyclist, or driver. This website was developed by a partnership between Yale University Police, Security Programs, Transportation Options, and Environmental Health and Safety - along with the City of New Haven Department of Transportation, Traffic and Parking.

In addition, the Smart Cycling Handbook is a guide for how to be a safe, respectful cyclist, and how to become involved with the New Haven biking community. Read more.
