Students create map of New Haven activities accessible by transit

January 30, 2017

Students from the Yale Office of Sustainability’s Sustainability Service Corps (SSC) created a map to show some of the activities New Haven has to offer outside of the Yale campus that are just a short bus ride away. The map uses routes from both Yale’s free shuttle service and the New Haven public bus system. The SSC team’s goal is to increase students’ awareness of the number of activities they have at their disposal in the greater New Haven area that don’t require a car or an Uber ride. With the map, the SSC hopes to help other students save money and energy, all while expanding their interaction with New Haven outside of Yale’s walls. View the full map here.

New Haven has more to offer outside of Chapel and Broadway! And with accessible public buses and free Yale shuttles, getting out of the bubble is easier than you’d think. Check out this map from the Sustainability Service Corps that highlights some of the fun activities in the area that are just a bus ride away (did someone say largest indoor ropes course?). Happy busing!
