Nighttime Campus Shuttle Schedule

The Yale University Shuttle provides transportation between the University, the East Rock neighborhood and the New Haven train stations for students, faculty and staff. Click here to see the area served by the Shuttle. This FREE service runs year-round with the exception of the following University Holidays: New Years Eve, New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and the following Friday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Service to the Yale Community includes: daytime routesnighttime routes (formerly called the "minibus"); Yale New Haven Hospital Shuttle, VA Hospital Shuttle and the Special Services Shuttle.

Between 6 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. on 359 days a year, any member of the Yale community can obtain free transportation on the Yale Nighttime Shuttle from Yale buildings to residences, from residences to Yale buildings within the service boundaries. The SLB/SML shuttles do not run during the summer and recess periods.

Due to weather or traffic conditions, buses may run a few minutes early or late.

The Nighttime Shuttle does not run on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day and July 4th or the day of National observance.

Blue Route Blue Route

Buses leave the lot at 333 Cedar Street and Whitney/Humphrey at 6:00 p.m. and run at 15 minute intervals until 1:00 a.m. (last bus leaves 333 Cedar at 12:45). Starting at 6 p.m., door-to-door service is available north of Sachem Street. The door-to-door service area is indicated by the dotted line.

Orange Route Afternoon Orange Route

The afternoon Orange Line runs fixed route service Monday-Friday between 4pm and 6pm. Door-to-door service begins at 6pm and runs until 11pm.

Nighttime Orange Route

The nighttime Orange Line includes a stop at the School of Nursing, stopping every 15 minutes at the pedestrian gate on Church Street South and on Cedar Street at the corner of Amistad Street. The last bus leaves 333 Cedar Street at 10:45pm.

Door-to-Door service starts east of Whitney Avenue at Canner Street. The Door-to-Door service area is indicated by the dotted line.

Scheduled Route Pick-up Stops

Go to one of the stops listed on the schedule and wait for the next Shuttle. A bus passes each stop every 15 minutes.

Off Route Pick-ups

If you cannot safely go to one of the listed stops, call 432-6330. The dispatcher will radio one of the buses to go off route and pick you up. If you require an escort to the nearest pick-up point, the Walking Escort Service is available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. The number to call is 432-9255, or 785-5555.
