Local Bus Services
CTtransit provides local and express bus services in the greater New Haven metro area. Get a CT GO Card for all bus trips via CTtransit and CTfastrack. The CT Go Card uses Fare Capping to calculate your faire and apply any discounts you are eliibigle to recives, so you are always paying the lowest fare with no guesswork.
Bicycles are accommodated on all CTTransit buses—as is also true for all Yale Shuttle buses—to facilitate your multi-modal trip.
NOTE: As of October 8, 2017, CTTransit is implemented a new statewide route numbering system. The new system is designated to work with new technologies such as real time bus information and will make the bus system easier for new and current riders to use. The Hartford Express connects various New Haven locations with Hartford, with stops at Park & Ride lots in Wethersfield and Middletown.
Megabus serves New Haven/Hartford/Boston with fares as low as $1.00 depending on how far in advance you book your trip.
